Werewolf

Basic Information

Anatomy

There are stages of transformation. You have the black and white stages: Human and Wolf. However, there are also in-between stages. The more powerful the werewolf, the more control they have over the change. All Werewolves must transform on the full moon (although the pack Alpha doesn't have to be in wolf form the entire night of the full moon like the rest of the pack), however, more powerful werewolves can also transform when there isn't a full moon. Only the most powerful werewolves can transform on a new moon, however. Another sign of power level is the ability to transfer select body parts without making the full transformation into a wolf. For instance, being able to grow claws, or teeth, or change their eyes or ears for improved senses.

Genetics and Reproduction

Cannot reproduce with any other species besides other werewolves.

Growth Rate & Stages

Their life expectancy is longer than that of humans (about 150 years), but they rarely actually live that long because of the type of lifestyle they lead. Werewolves tend to settle most disputes with fighting which tends to shorten their life spans. However, the pack usually has a couple of elder women who have been around for ages.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They eat according to whichever form they're in.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Extremely keen sense of smell. Excellent night vision. Superhuman speed and reflexes. Above-average hearing.
Conservation Status
Their number one rule is to Keep The Secret. Werewolves are relatively rare in the world (about .00001 % of the population) and they know from experience that humans do not take kindly to the supernatural. Although physically superior to humans, the wolves can be killed by fairly standard means - guns, arrows, decapitation, shots to the heart, etc. They do have rapid healing, but it's not instantaneous healing. Things that would kill a human instantly will also kill a wolf instantly.
