Earth After

This is a tale of two worlds ending. Earth, 2112 AD: The final World War was not the extinction level event humanity always assumed it would be. Though nuclear weapons were used they were only used on military targets. Instead, armadas of defense satellites bombarded the sprawling population centers with from orbit with kinetic weapons leaving utter devastation in their wake. When it was over humanity survived but no longer had the resources to rebuild. The Long Slide began. It would last over a millennium.   Lurra, 1371 RH: Desperate to end the Siege of Toprak, Aarnor Spillblood, the Lion of Iraethor used a gnomen poison to kill the Topraki, or so he thought. What he unleashed was an army of ravenous undead that devoured and turned his army into a rising tide of undead soon brought under the command of powerful liches bent on extinguishing all the living. For five desperate years the peoples of Lurra fought the tide. Orc joined Elf. Dwarf fought alongside Goblin but to know avail. When it became inevitable that the humanoids would fall Spells were created seeking any refuge anywhere. To their everlasting relief the portals finally opened and what was left of the peoples of Lurra fled through into the unknown.   Earth: It's been centuries since the Arrival brought the races of Lurra to Earth in 1375 AP. But along with the peoples, the Spells suffused Earth with new life, revitalizing resources and minerals long missing, allowing once common technologies to be reclaimed. The Long Slide was over. How high could the two worlds climb together?
