Raider's English

Raiders have a series of words and calls that are fairly unique to them. All of which are known throughout the wasteland, some as warnings and some as threats.

Common Phrases

Watch your tongue or the watcher'll have it. - Keep your mouth shut or we'll make sure you can't keep talking. Guns up, knives out, keep your eyes on our backs or you'll be joining the ghouls. - Make yourself useful or you'll be killed. Slugger - A gun that shoots bullets. Wastelander - anyone who is not part of the raiders band, slang term for survivors Sheep - settlers Wolf - Knights or others who may have previously proven themselves to hold a threat to a raider band Glow-stick - A slang term for the irradiated, they are called glowsticks due to the glow that the majority of them give off. Some consider it an insult where as some prefer it to being called the irradiated. Mutts - General term used by some raider bands to refer to any new comers or younger, lower members Watch your back wastelander, never know who you've pissed off. - A threat given, usually to settlers or wastelanders that are expected to pay protection. Watch your ass, and remember. Doesn't matter who you are or who you take out, boss gets first cut. - Main rule of a raider band, boss takes what they want first. Then, it's up to the rest to figure out how it gets split Watch the chems, don't want to end up like one of the glowsticks - Reference to the fact that many of the drugs available in the wasteland are irradiated, it has been speculated that enough of them at once may actually create the same reaction as the high levels of radiation made the Irradiated.
