Born before the first Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt ruled, he is an ancient one, even among his kind. He had live centuries after centuries, witnessed destruction upon destruction upon destruction. He had watched mankind rise and fall. Peering from the dim and cold corner of the room, he studied humans and their greed of the world.
No djinn is better at understanding humans and taking advantage of them than he is.
He is a royalty; or so the rumour said. A prince never meant for the crown. A prince with no need for a crown. With a skull on his head and bones for the throne, he's the king of invisible threats and broken dreams. It was said among the lower class djinns that once upon a time he arrogantly dared everyone in his kingdom to duel him, everyone, even his own father—the king. But it's not arrogancy if you're boasting the truth, is it? Nothing could stood in his way. They all went home bruised and he amassed a new following of his own. He never seized his father's throne. An old man's rusty chair has nothing to compare with a whole new world he dreamed of. He became known as the deceiver. A hand to help with a price to pay. Centuries passed and humans started to fear him. Be careful of him, they warned. Be really, really careful of him, for his words are nothing but a spider's web, and a contract is but a delayed death.
The portrayals of him differ in areas based on their cultures. On the western part of the world, he is known as Rowan, and he likes these people for they call upon him through blood and great sacrifice, his name barely a whisper on quivering lips, his presence greeted with a bow and something akin to prayers of the non-believers.
On the eastern earth, he's more known as Royana. These people, they call upon him with so little respect, a sacrifice so poor, his name is a joke out the mouth of men with heart so black charcoal lose its meaning. He disliked them, for they know they have more power over him than the other way around. They know his loopholes. They know his true nature. These people, they are smarter than the people of western earth. To them he is no king. A mere servant, a tool to get what they want.
But even then he stays true to his nature. He stays true to his fate, the red string he knitted himself. As Rowan or Royana, his foot is set on bringing the world to its knees.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Rowan mostly presents himself as a white (or brown, if he is called as Royana) man with ink black eyes and spiky gel hair. He can also take the form of animals, most frequently a scorpion. He has extreme physical abilities, far above most humans.

Special abilities

Rowan is capable of many abilities; he can travel at the speed of sound, fly, possess a super strength that he can lift a mansion like picking up a ball, and almost every kind of magic. He's also able to give humans who make contract with him super powers.

Rowan really likes the punk culture. He can appear wearing anything in the world, but expect him to always wear a choker or ear piercings. Or both.

Rowan is a male and personally goes with classic he/him pronoun, mostly because he grew up when society was still rigid and binary. However, he doesn't mind if people refer to him with neutral pronoun (such as they/them), because he learned bahasa Indonesia, a language with no gendered noun, very early.

Finn summoned Rowan when he was already so hopeless, hitting the rock bottom thinking he had no way out. Rowan happily made a contract with him; later on, it seems he kind of regrets it.

Rowan speaks a ton of languages, having lived and traveled the world for so long. He can understand old scripts (which language system differ a lot from the one used today) without any difficulty. He also speaks The Ancient Tongue, a language of ancient djinns.
