Earth 35

At the turn of the millenium, upon the first day of the year 2000, a baby was born.   And everything changed.   Earth 35 is a world with a superhuman society, a century and a half after the gene C35 spread throughout the population. This gene caused those born with it to develop uncanny mutations that provide exotic abilities, commonly known as Superpowers.   But 30 years after C35 appeared in humanity, a dark mutation began to emerge. Dubbed C35X, it commonly gave those bearing it abilities with power greater than any seen before, but with a cruel side effect. Its victims developed an extreme form of psychopathy that not only caused them to lose all sense of innate morality, but also caused an uptick in other mental disorders; and even compelling its bearers to perform horrendous acts. These individuals were dubbed the names of their comic book counterparts, Super-villains.   With the new threat made clear, a world wide initiative was created to gather individuals with strong powers into teams to combat the new Super-villains and act as a new form of law enforcement. Now, more than a century later, these people are found while during their middle school years and brought to one of the Hero Schools. They are trained there to become the next generation of heroes to combat the menace of C35X.   Welcome to Earth 35.
