The Justice League
The Justice League is the DC Universe's most powerful and premier superhero team, a strike force comprised of the world's mightiest heroes. They act as stalwart protectors of sentient life; Earth's first line of defense against terrestrial, extra-terrestrial, inter-dimensional and supernatural threats. There have been many members over the years and several incarnations of the team, but the original group was founded by Aquaman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
Structure
The Justice League has variating structures. At one time or another, it is lead by a single group member (most likely Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman), but some have worked as co-leaders. Often, the league is divided into groups for missions, and a leader is assigned for each mission; when entering a mission with a squad of smaller heroes, it is likely that a founding member of the League will take charge.
