Earth, 21XX

Earth serveral decades in the future. The world has been ravaged by war, many nations of the world lie in ruins. Civilizations have been eradicated.   The bulk of the story takes place within a war-torn United States. Many cities have been rebuilt/merged together to form massive city-states, separated by hundreds of miles of war-torn ruins and desert. The setting is one of these city-states, Terminus City.   Something alarming has taken place in the world: the dawn of what is believed to be the next stage in human evolution. People are awaking to discover that they have powers and abilities beyond that of a regular human. Some fear that the time of Man has come to an end, and that these Metahumans will come to replace what remains of Earth's population. Others seek to take advantage of these Metahumans for personal and monetary gain.   One thing is certain: humanity's inherent selfishness will lead to conflict, and these Metahumans will be the center of that conflict.
