Earth, 2188

The Earth, 100 years after a catastrophic event flung its inhabitants into the cold expanse of space! The recently recovering population now lives among the thousands of pieces of the former planet which orbit the still molten core.   Different layers of orbiting earth separate space-faring folk into distinct economic classes, as well as warring factions! Near the core is a manufacturing zone, where clever and brave engineers utilize the heat of the core to build great space-boats, weapons, and other tools of war. Beyond the core is a temperate zone, where those with money and influence live comfortably; supplied with money and comforts from near the core, these aristocrats empower and are protected by the Royal Space Fleet (RSF)!   Further beyond the temperate zone is a large layer of cold earth called the wet strip, where moisture accumulates and is collected by hard-working farmers. As much as the RSF tries to control this zone, it is much too large to be controlled by one faction. The wet strip plays host to warring factions including the Imperial Army and the Chapeau Rouge, along with many more!   Beyond the wet strip is a collection of islands too cold for most folk, it is called the Outworld, and is a haven for bandits, mercenaries, raiders, and all kinds of ne'er-do-wells.   Remain vigilant and one day you may find yourself rich, powerful, famous, and any adjectives one could wish for!
