History

The Sidgeford Society for the Investigation of Antiquities began over 600 years ago in the lands that now make up the Federation of Arcaeland. Originally founded as a hobbyist group by a half dozen people united by a common fascination with The Lost Ages of Antiquity, they found their numbers expanding rather unexpectedly. Their efforts quickly yielded several extremely impressive finds in rapid succession that captured the attention of the masses, and quickly entered the collective cultural consciousness of the country.     Within five years the group found itself so influential that it was capable of influencing local politics. Over the next decade, its influence continued to grow and expand and began to influence provincial politics. And two decades after that, it started to become a national political force.     Its popularity grew so great that it survived the collapse of the very country it was just beginning to shape, and found itself tangentially involved in the creation of the new nation that grew to replace it afterwards.

Secrets of the past form the foundation of the future.
