Eambar is the Elvish word for "Creation as a whole." I used this word because the world (as it is currently known) has at least 3 major continents, each with their own histories, cultures, wars, and factions. To have one unified name for the world would be ludicrous (as it was also co-created and I don't remember the name of one of the continents).   Carmanthia - The now unified continent which is home to the ruling guild: "The Adventurer's Guild." The rolling plains in the center of the continent might dominate the map, but they are only loosely populated, instead, the various seats of power are scattered outwardly among the more "Late Medieval" cities in the mountains and along the rivers and oceans.   Astilia - Subdivided into Baronies, the continent has always enjoyed relative peace, though the word "tolerance" would suit it better as each barony tends to seclude itself to its own region and racial traits. Some scholars have suggested the reason for peace is less political maneuvering and more resource abundance; no barony forced to interact with another. There are a scattering of islands around Astilia, most are as loosely affiliated with the mainland as each barony. The only exception is the archipelago known collectively as: "The Mage's Hand" said to be created with the wave of "The Master's" hand and now split into separate schools of magic.   Ethedria - Only whispered about now. The continent of shadows or the continent of silence. It is completely covered by a fog. No inhabitants are known.
