Zayen Karna Passepartout

Zayen was born in Ashar under a different name; a noblewoman, with the predestined future to marry Lord Enear Mis, first-born son of Lord Maroy Mis. Zayen's disposition disagreed to being married, being a lady, or having others making her choices for her. With the help of young Enear (whose friendship has been one of the cornerstones of her life), she left her home and Ashar at the tender age of fourteen and roamed freely, only communicating with Enear, determined to find out for herself what the world had to offer to one so free and curious as her.   Even though her life was far from sun-shines and roses, Zayen made a name as one of the most accomplished adventurers in Eam'Rel. Her skills, connections and attitude became notorious, especially after a mission deep within the ruins of Bran'Aredh became one of the most famous ballads in the mainlands. She was the only human to even be invited by the uiledath to visit their islands, since she had mysteriously acquired both deep knowledge of their culture and an understanding of their language. And she was quite possibly the only thief no authority dared touch - on the contrary.   However, Zayen, even though she became legend through song and story for her adventures, will always be remembered for being the person who transformed the small community of Mornye to a huge underground operation. Mornye was a small village at the outskirts of Bondye, where the gifted took refuge when they were declared accursed by the Sacred Voice. Mornye took them, and then helped them escape. When Zayen first arrived there, Mornye had build and underground village, where the refugees could hide safely, but resources were scarce, and the danger was significant. Zayen took it upon herself to make sure that Mornye would be a safe haven not only to the gifted of Bondye, but to anyone who found themselves alone and helpless. The rule she established was simple: no help is denied, if indeed the person is in need. No compensation asked. However, if you were helped, you were obliged to return the favour, and help others in need when requested by Mornye. That way, a huge underground network was built, expanding the entirety of Eam'Rel, where the helpless could escape and hope for a better life.   To this day, Zayen keeps adventuring, but will always send funds to Mornye, and will always make sure that the powerless have a voice.
