Order of Numbers
The Order of Numbers is an order dedicated to the study of mathematics and geometry. It was founded in the Walled City Tiham and has grown to become a crucial asset of the city. Their influence is so strong that they are virtually untouchable.
The Order
The Order of Numbers has grown into the most prestigious order of mathematicians in the world. Throughout history they have made groundbreaking discoveries which helped their colleagues in other parts of the world. To become a member of the order the brightest minds move to Tiham to live their lives there. Only the best are accepted in the order. They spend much of their time debating, studying and discovering. Members of the Order are treated with the greatest respect. Some order members have made it into the city council. Others have high ranked family members in the city guard or in the justice system. Order members accused of a crime rarely get arrested, and if they do they don't make it into the courtroom.

The Order of Numbers adheres very strictly to their system of rules. A violation of these rules can mean expulsion.

Headquarters
The Order of Numbers controls the Ageless Tower of Tiham. It is and has been their headquarters for more than two-thousand years. With the Tower they hold all ancient and new knowledge in their hands. No one can access these manuscripts and books without permission from the Order. Because they are so well known and respected in Tiham and around the world no one ever questions the orders monopoly over these invaluable documents.
As a fan of scientific method and maths, this Order appeals to me - feels like an element of a meritocracy. But, of course, corruption can lurk anywhere. This piece shows that tension really well. :)
I'm glad you like the Order. :) Thank you!
