Expedition to Serralon
Mizymi, my little butterfly,
we have news about the expedition which left Mehrula earlier this year. You know it was led by the famous explorer Jareb Bonavine. The man who discovered the dragonfly islands. His expedition sailed to Serralon and set up a base camp just outside the ruins, near Mystwood. Though they well knew the eerie tales about this vast forest, they ignored all warnings. They claimed the stories were nothing but fables, and that they would stay clear of Mystwood. These were lies however. Jareb had planned from the beginning to explore not only the ruins of Serralon, but Mystwood as well. We knew how this would end. When a ship with supplies arrived two months later, they found the camp abandoned. There was not one sign of what might have happened to the 58 people who joined this expedition. The ship’s crew took everything left behind by the expedition members. Among those items was this journal. It was written by Jareb’s seventeen-year-old nephew who followed his uncle into Mystwood. The journal was conveniently stolen before anyone had time to read it. It is now part of our private collection. The most puzzling part about this is the question of how the journal ended up at the camp. Read it. You'll understand why I mention this.
