General inspiration
We read fantasy to find the colors again, I think. To taste strong spices and hear the songs the sirens sang. There is something old and true in fantasy that speaks to something deep within us, to the child who dreamt that one day he would hunt the forests of the night, and feast beneath the hollow hills, and find a love to last forever somewhere south of Oz and north of Shangri-La.

I think ultimately the battle between good and evil is weighed within the individual human heart and not necessarily between an army of people dressed in white and an army of people dressed in black. When I look at the world, I see that most real living breathing human beings are grey.

There is always a choice. We say there is no choice only to comfort ourselves with the decision we have already made. If you understand that, there’s hope. If not….
They are evil. They just have standards, like any self-respecting monster.
Interesting story and I really like your design layout. I am having trouble with CSS and have been frustrated that I can't figure it out. Great job!
Thank you so much. I knew nothing about CSS before World Anvil, so you will be able to learn it as well. If I can give you one advice on CSS it would be to make a completely separate private world where you can experiment with CSS as much as you want without having to worry your active world will look awful or unreadable. Make sure you have no other theme selected while you create your own because that makes things a lot easier. Also read the World Anvil Codex which has a ton of info on CSS if you have not already. And if you need help find the CSS help channel on the World Anvil discord. Don't give up, it's just another new thing to learn. :)
