Manipoquonit (Mana-Po-K-Wan-It)

One of the many people native to Dyrburg before the Blue Rock Sovereignty came to conquer the region. The Manipoquonit tribe roamed the forests among other lowland tribes. The Manipoquonit were a fierce and cunning people, and shared a special connection to both the natural world and to the aavar Tandal. Their people grew and were prospered and they honored the aavar with every bounty the collected. As the other tribes fell to either the cunning tricks of sharpened spears of the Blue Rock Sovereignty the Manipoquonit turned once more to Tandal and the natural world. They were instructed to raise monuments monuments and perform strange rituals and they did faithfully. The flora and fauna of the wood itself rose up against their enemies of the Manipoquonit peoples maintained their freedom and their forest.
Many years have passed since Dyrburg was pulled into the mists however, and there are splinters among the religious leaders of the Manipoquonit. This splinter cult call themselves "The Dreamers" and claim that Tandal has forsaken them, and can no longer grantee safety from the beastmen and creatures of the night. These splinter factions hear the voice of a different power, the whispers of a servant of Cecile, who masquerades as a humble druid of the Manipoquonit but spreads lies throughout their people. These splinters wage war on the nearby villages and perform the profane occult rituals that weaken and mask the aberrant creatures unleashed upon the world.
The original peoples of the Manipoquonit are trapped within their own wards and protections, their own forest has been turned against them by The Dreamers and day by day they are being wiped out, they pray and offer sacrifices in hopes that they might return Tandal's servant to them. A unicorn by the name of Halcyon.
