Battle of Caraof Military Conflict in Drop in the Ocean | World Anvil

Battle of Caraof

This famous conquest of the fort Caraof is the subject of many stories, epic poems and pub songs. It is an astonishing tale that has every kind of plot twist you could have thought off, therefore it is even funnier in retrospect that it actually all happened in real life and it's not just some fever dream of a writer on too much coffee and too little of a sex life.   It features cross dressing, mistaken identities, climbing in and out of people's windows, talking horses, incredibly tall statues, hamsters, ghosts and epic sword duels to name just a few of the most memorable moments of history. Because every great military leaders knows, that the best kind of a battle to fight is to have none at all - so when two military masterminds come face to face, it is only natural they will try to outsmart each other in order to bring home the most satisfying victory of all - the one when no one dies and "our" side won. And when there is a third one hiding in the undeground waterways, you know there are some supreme shenanigans to be had.   In the end every successful battle strategy relies on scouts and spies and people actually knowing what they are getting into. Luckily general Lavarre who was leading the conquering party thought there was something weird going on from the very start, launched investigation, found the presumably murdered prince in the culprits bedroom, so trying to successfully murdering everyone in the fort in the name of justice wouldn't really work. Meanwhile, general Attimos did everything in his power to make sure his people can actually fend off the attackers vastly outnumbering them making use of frying pans and brooms no one has thought of before. And when the explosions started happening and everyone thought bloodshead is inevitable now, the dowager queen threw off her helmet, let down her hair, exposed the traitor and pacified everyone like a proper leader she is, because no one can end a fight like a mother can.   If you want more details, you need to tip the bard well.
