Drezia

Drezia is a world that has been built on over the course of years. Drezia is a single great continent comparable and possibly larger than Eurasia. The world has been carefully placed together through rigorous research into real world cultures and societies, to craft a world with complex politics, economics, societies, while also providing enough excellent histories and room for new stories to rise up from members. Drezia is in many ways a true high fantasy world however we've put in our best efforts to create more than just a conglomerate of stereotypes and tropes. Along with many recognizable races such as Humans, Dwarves, and Orcs we've included races such as the Bu-Wei or Forgelings which take inspiration from other fantastical sources like World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons. We've also created races exclusively from our own pool of creativity such as the Malxo. The world itself has driven inspirations from the late 14th to early 15th century in terms of cultures and political structures. However, the introduction of magic has left the world with surprising advancements. In the past 60 or so years alone, magic has been used to develop advancements in transportation such as the lightning rail or airships, it has lead to new experimentation in gunpowder technology leading to not only cannons but also the invent of primitive firearms. Magic in Drezia has also taken in many forms and practices, enchantment has recently become incredibly popular with the aforementioned technologies relying on it. Mages can also study into other schools such as the schools of invocation to create destructive waves of flames, illusion magic to become invisible and create false images, or perhaps tap into greater powers like the infinite consuming energy provided by the void and its associated demons. Today, politics has become an increasingly dangerous affair. With revolutions in transportation the world has become increasingly smaller yet the violent medieval politics and ambitions have lead to an incredibly unstable position. Great Empires built over centuries such as the Morrkean Empire have collapsed fallen to infighting and succession crisis. An age of Internal conflicts is nearing it's end, and many are unsure what kind of conflicts could rage across the continent in the coming decades. Members can create their characters ranging from notable political heads to everyday citizens moving across the waves of destruction and intrigue that dominates the world. Kings, Mages, Clerics, Warriors, Traders, Farmers, every occupation plays its role in the growth of this ever changing world.
