The Feud between Lady Blackwood vs Lords Baltimore

When George Calvert's wife, Anne Mynne became ill in 1622, Dark Lady Ina Blackwood came to them to render aid out of respect for the service his father had rendered to her and her husband, Alaric Blackwood. Ina was unable to heal Anne and she died on August 8th, 1622. George blamed not only Ina, but all magical folk for his wife's death.   Ina fumed over the slight. She had grown close to Anne in the time they spent together, and the notion she would kill an innocent, let alone a friend was abhorrent to her.   In 1624, Ina and Alaric were asked by The Order of the Cut Elm to intervene in relations between England and Spain after Prince Charles and Duke George Villiers disastrous visit to Spain to find wives. Parliament voted funds for the prosecution of War, and Calvert took the Blackwood's involvement as a sign of evil.   Scandal surrounded Calvert because of his relationship with the Spanish Ambassador and their court, and he blamed the Blackwoods for undermining his leadership. In February 1625, he reigned from the Secretariat claiming ill heath.   Enraged with the slander to her and her families name, Ina swore a vendetta against Calvert, and got him named Wordloga (deceiver) in all of Aernadael.   Calvert sent Edward Wynne and a group of Welsh colonist to settle in Ferryland to establish the colony of Avalon in 1621. When Ina learned Calvert intended to visit the colony in 1625, she flew personally to Markland to ensure the colony failed.   After Governor Arther Ashton returned to England with all the catholic settlers in 1627, Calvert was undeterred, and set sail. He arrived on Jul 23rd, 1627, but after many foul deed hindered his progress returned to England only 2 months later.   He returned in 1628 with his wife and 40 more settlers. Thanks to the influence of Dark Lady Blackwood, the winter of 1628-1629 did not end until May, forcing Calvert to abandon his charted and move the county south to found Maryland.   The Blackwoods again followed, but Alaric was able to prevail against Ina's rage, and they took for themselves the Province of Avalon which she named to mock Lord Baltimore.
