Innen Graduation

Overview

After a young Innen pairing passes the Innen exam, they are given a set of gifts as well as the benefits and responsibilities of their new station, generally by the leader of the Order of Innena personally in a small and private ceremony. It is here when the Innen becomes full Innen.

The Ceremony

Upon passing the test, both members of a young Innen are called to the office of the Elui, or to a prominent Anda Innen if the leader is occupied. Often times this may be the only opportunity for an Innen to meet in person with the Order's leader. The ceremony performed is more of a giving of gifts than an actual celebration, but some Elui Innena throughout the ages try to treat this occasion as a major ceremony; its a matter of personal preference by the one conducting the ceremony.
The young Innen is given their gifts, including a medallion bearing the Order's symbol and a personal image, symbol, or crest on the other side, a helm to the human partner's liking, a saddle if the Gendirl partner is capable of using one, and an Innen weapon of the human's desire. The young Innen is also congratulated on their accomplishment and given the new status of full Innen. The new title grants the Innen respect from those they may deal with while serving the Order.

Responsibilities

Graduation is a major accomplishment for an Innen, and it grants them all of the benefits owed to them as full Innen, but it also means that the Innen pair must enter active duty for a number of years, the length of time depending on the need for Innena, the number of full Innena in active duty, and the age of the Innen at the time they graduate. Personal limitations of one of the members in a pair can also dictate length of active duty and the types of missions and tasks they must perform.
