Ereth

Ereth is the big continent located in the east of Dorius. It is where one of the most popular and important cities in the world is located, Newsham. Newsham is the capital of the humans and has its separate story and characteristics in its own article. In Ereth, the continent is mainly composed of human cities, that adopt the rules proposed by Newsham of magic abolition and non-human restrictions. It is a land hostile towards magic-users and non-humans and would seem a lot like a medieval Earth would look like. The main cities are situated on the world map, but many others hide in between.

Geography

Ereth is a land composed mainly of planes and forests, but it has many other climates and biomes. The two main mountain ranges are located mainly in the north and southwest of Ereth and they are the main factors Newsham's kingdom doesn't expand beyond these places. There is also a smaller mountain range in the east, but it doesn't make that much of a difference to the inhabitants of Ereth. After these mountains, there are big areas of arid climate, caused by the lack of humidity that can't go past the mountains.    There are 5 main rivers spread across the lands of Ereth, of which the biggest one is located by Newsham. There is one big desert located in the center of Ereth, where the city of Vrok is located. That desert is an obstacle to trade and travel and is considered to be one of the most dangerous and wicked places in life. Besides that, there are 2 main swamps located both in the north and southeast. The only places where snow and ice forms in Ereth is the extreme north, beyond the mountain range.
