An Elemental Lorekeeper requires all the qualification for a normal lorekeeper, but with some differences. First of all, the chances to become one highly increase if anyone in the dragon's bloodline was previously one. This is because to be Elemental Lorekeepers require the trust of the dragon ruler themselves, so if they are familiar with the family already, chances are they will trust the dragon more. It's not fault-proof, but that's why there's another system in place: the Elemental Trials. Each aspiring elemental lorekeeper has to pass a special test. The last trial will have the dragon trying to unleash the power of the Elemental Fragment itself in a controlled environment. If the dragon manages to pass every single trial, they will become the next Elemental Lorekeeper. While rare, if there's more than one dragon to pass every test then they will all have to fight only using their element, and whoever prevails will get the title.Payment & Reimbursement
