What is a Pleonastic Mutation?

A Pleonastic Mutation is a mutation that sometimes appears in Metahumans, often resulting in useless, unwanted or harmful physical features or conditions. Most common are unnatural hair and eye colors. Other examples are animalistic features as well as some body parts being composed of inorganic materials like having one's hair being made of fine strands of metal.
These mutations are often present from birth and are one of the few indicators of Metahumanism before one's abilities awaken.
