blood magic - Pie Hisseng (pi-ye hi-seng)

blood magic-hemomancy or pie hisseng in the old tongue is one of the three primal magics in the world of die stella. practicing blood magic first of all requires a strong gut and unwavering will. the horrid acts needed to perform blood magic have given it a harsh stigma as the most "evil" of all magic, although to those who know the true nature of magics, it does not seem to deserve the reputation it has gathered with the common folk.   blood magic, as its name suggests, draws power from blood, more specifically from the soul that it tied to the blood. blood magic can create a large amount of effects from healing to curses and some say even resurrections, as long as they have enough time and blood to do it, blood magic typically takes the longest to set up and execute out of the three magic types, a single spell might take months to set up and entire days of active casting to complete it.   blood magic infused items, when compared with other spells and the infusions of the other magics, are easy to make and use. with items such as enchanted spiked gauntlets that allow mages to gather and control blood on the battlefield, being standart issue to battle mages who are proficient with blood magic. and the crimson needles wich can be used to drain life from certain areas in a body, in order to heal the wounded areas.   nothing can be gained from blood magic without a cost, no matter how simple or miniscule the spell is, it will have a cost both to bodies and souls. blood itself can be easely regenerated, the soul it is tied to? not so much.

Manifestation

when an active spell of blood magic is taking place, depending on its strength, all living things in a certain area can FEEL it, not as an ambiguous feeling, but as something pulling them calling them hungrily. when a spell powers up in this way it can pull blood from open wounds and containers to it's epicenter in order to power it, creating slowly flowing streams of blood that can even float when close to the source of the magic. creatures created by blood magic are often either devoid of blood or have a gross abundance of it.(a hollow barly living man that manifests a craving for blood is an example for the first example, a large dripping beheamoth made from multiple dead bodies is a great example of the second.
