The Otherworld

A dimension closely linked to the Human World. This world of blacked skies and a wasteland of jagged red stone is full of monsters of unspeakable horrors, they are known as the Otherworld Daemons. These daemons fight constantly and seek only to destroy. There are some daemons who possess more intelligent than their brethren and use their power to find ways of influencing the human world. When a human filled with guilt commits a selfless act as they die, their soul can find their way dragged to this realm. Many don't survive the harsh conditions and are devoured by daemons. Those who do escape, who accept a daemon's deal, reawaken at the time of their death with no memory of the Otherworld and are granted supernatural abilities. The powers of the Otherworld have slowly leaked into Adenus City, more and more daemon's patrons are made, and a crossover of two worlds is at the cusp.

Geography

The terrain of the Otherworld is that of a large wasteland of howling winds and endless storms. The surface is covered in jagged sharp rocks stained red where minor daemon crawl and fight to survive. Beneath the rocks are hundreds of caverns that the more intelligent daemons make their kingdoms and domains. The underground environments can range from vast underground black forests or a city of bones each connected by a series of thousands of tunnels. The highest point of the Otherworld, where lighting constantly strikes against the stone, is a mountain spueing white light with strings of darkness reaching into the darkened clouds.

Fauna & Flora

There is almost no plant life that naturally occurs in the Otherworld. Certain Daemons and their abilities can conjure thorny vines and other wicked looking plants. As for animals, the world is full of mindless minor daemons, quadrupedal creatures that hunt like wolves and other large beasts that hunt those. They constantly fight and eat one another for survival, keeping the rocks red.

Natural Resources

Deep underground there exists a metal without a name. Powerful daemons use this material to forge their weapons such as spears, swords, and chains. Outside of the Otherworld this metal is tougher than steel and is almost unbreakable. The properties of this metal can also inflict harm to all types of daemons.
