Just an abandoned Forged, living in a lonely world...
Discovered and activated too late to fight in the war that created her kind, Spark was found and trained by Master Kohai, a monk of the Way of the Sunward Soul. An underground pit fighter and not particularly devout, Spark spends her time fighting, healing, and doing what she can to care for the Forged she gets to know in the Dura district of lower Sharn.
Physical Description
Body Features
Like all forged, Spark is a magical construct, with metal plating shaped and wrapped around wooden fibers, which are attached to a metal skeletal frame. Threaded through the fibers and frames are flexible tubes circulating lubricant and coolant, nourishing her body with a blood like fluid, dark orange in Spark’s specific case. Unlike most of her mass-produced brethren who have only a thumb and two broad fingers, she has three, which are finer in size and articulation. As a Skirmisher, Spark has a slender, but flexible frame, built for speed and agility for rapid and darting attacks rather than the hulking unstoppable momentum of larger juggernaut variants.
Spark’s outermost plating is constructed out of durable metal plates, colored a neutral matte gray, and shaped into articulating layers, like a skin-tight suit of custom armor that fits snugly around her dense internal fibers. Connecting hexagonal designs are etched into the plates around each major joint (ankles, knees, hips, waist, shoulders, neck, elbows and wrists). The lines are deepest at the edges of the plate, and fade to nothing quickly, leaving the middle of the plates smooth and even.
Facial Features
Spark’s face is finely constructed, with added points of smooth articulation around her eye crystals and vocal aperture, giving her about 90% of the expression range of the Grown. Her meta-matrix glyph is a hexagon made up of 6 triangles is etched into her forehead. Two crystals have been cut and set into two of the sockets, making a hourglass shape. The top one was in place when she was first activated. The lower gem was chosen and embedded by Spark herself. Around her major joints (wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, waist, hip, knee, and ankle) are tessellated hexagons. The lines are deepest at the edges and get lighter in just a few rows, leaving the rest of her plating smooth and unmarked.
Identifying Characteristics
At the top and sides of Spark’s head is an intricate tessellation pattern of small hexagonal holes, only 3 cm at the biggest and 1 cm at the smallest. Jets of magical flame emit from the ports, giving Spark a shimmering, spiky and distinctive hairstyle, which as far as she knows unique even among the forged. The flames are emotionally reactive, and can grow hotter and longer the more active her emotional state is, but Spark can control them when concentrating, having been trained to do so by her discoverer, Master Kohai, as a form of self-discipline and meditation.
Apparel & Accessories
Spark wears simple fabric pants and a flexible body wrap. She recently acquired a black leather traveling coat which she cut off the sleeves, to retain her speed and flexibility. She wears simple leather sandals, and has a traveling pack with a scabbard to hold her staff when she is not using it.
Specialized Equipment
Her main weapon is a steel hexagonal rod (+1 Quarterstaff), embedded with a polished tiger's eye gem set in the middle balance point. This is her successor to her first staff, which was passed from Master Kohai to her when they parted. That staff had a knot close to one tip. At the bottom of the knot was a visible red gemstone, which turned out to be part of a sword hilt that had been mysteriously embedded inside the staff.

Personal history
Spark doesn't remember anything before she woke-up in a forest to the sound of wildlife, a flute being played, the crackling of Master Kohai's fire, and the grunts and shouts of his two other companions sparring several paces away. Master Kohai took it upon himself to educate and train the young Forged in the history of the world, and of the great War that had let to her existence. He had no idea why she had been discovered in a storage crate in the middle of the forest with no markings or paperwork to give a clue as to who she was or where she was supposed to have been brought. But it was also Master Kohai who gave her a name and made her feel like a person. After most of a year together, Kohai and Spark parted ways, her master passing his only weapon, a quarterstaff with a large red crystal embedded inside the simple stick. Eventually, Spark made her way to the city of Sharn, where she found a living and community as a contracted pit fighter in one of the city's many underground gambling dens, participating in exhibition matches, organized fights, and tournaments.
In the course of her years fighting in Sharn, Spark befriended Bellows, a local blacksmith, fabricator, and fellow Forged, who used her skills to care for the many under-privileged Forged that survived in the Dura district. She also came to the attention of Krayg, who occasionally used her to complete small errands.

Vices & Personality flaws
Spark used to be an avid user of the Forged intoxicant Dust. She still is, but she used to be, too. Spark likes getting high. It's a fun way to pass the time between fights.
Personality Quirks
When emotionally active, Spark's hairflames grow bigger, and burn hotter, unless she is saddened, hurt, or depressed. Then they are subdued and cooler, hovering just above her head vents.
