Planetouched races

There are a lot of planetouched races in Desaroque, because of the amount of aether scars. Some of the races in D&D is reflavoured as planetouched for non-human races. Rather than being a descendant of outsiders, planetouched in Desaroque became so because of contact with aether scars, which gives magical influence to the baby in the womb. Dwarves, halflings, goblinoids & giant-kins (orcs & goliaths) seem to be quite resistant to planar influence, perhaps because of them being used to living side by side by aether scars. Although that doesn't explain the existence of Firbolgs and Gnomes.   Human planetouched:
  • Aasimar: influenced by the positive planes (Celestia or Eos)
  • Tiefling: influenced by the negative planes (Tartarus or Gehenna)
  • Genasi: influenced by the elemental planes
  • Shifter: influenced by the chaos planes (Limbo or Arborea)
  • Kalashtar: influenced by the shadow planes (Soul Sanctum or Osturea)
  • Changeling: influenced by the Limbo
  Elven planetouched:
  • Avariel (very rare): influenced by positive planes (Celestia or Eos)
  • Gith: influenced by Limbo
  • Eladrin: influenced by elemental planes or by Arborea
  • Shadar-kai: influenced by the shadow planes (Soul Sanctum or Osturea)
  Giant-kin planetouched:
  • Firbolg: influenced by Arborea
  Goblinoid planetouched:
  • Gnome: influenced by Arborea
