Demuria

Demuria is the only inhabited planet of the same-named star system. It was colonized millennia ago by Terran settlers that arrived in the arkship Egese Malan. Since then, Demuria has no contact whatsoever with Terra or any other human colonies, existing on its own right in isolation from the rest of the galaxy and other potential colonies.

The world of Demuria is very Terra-like, except where it's not. It's roughly the size of Saturn, orbiting a star not unlike Sol. It has a stronger gravity than Terra due to its size, but after millennia humanity has adapted to it and thus, it has no bearing on the natives. It is surrounded, much like the Sol System's Saturn, by rings of ice, dust and debris, which are faintly visible even during the day when the sky is clear.
