'Fox Underfoot' Letter

Hard to believe this is an actual message. It reads like a children's joke.

Lacking a more official title, the 'Fox Underfoot' letter was sent to the commander of the forces at Entrin by the Entrin Fox. Within, the Fox taunts the military and 'requests' that they leave Entrin to the Kaokut Coalition rather than continue dealing with the escalating series of misfortunes befalling the contingent.
The name comes from a phrase within the letter itself, which was set to poetic form for unknown reasons. It bears the mark of a small fox face instead of a signature. According to rumors, the letter reads:

Fox underfoot, sneaking past, Under wall and over fence, Stealing, conniving, smiling, For now the die is cast.
Leave and all shall be well, Stay? Why must you resist? Breaking, robbing, smirking, All before they become mist.

While the military has offered a sizeable reward for capturing the Fox, the official stance remains that the Fox is essentially a nuisance and a cover for the townspeople themselves causing trouble. Should the military ever choose to impose martial law, the town would likely revolt and the war effort would falter. As it stands, it appears the military will choose to accept the sabotage as the price of war.
Regardless, the letter itself has become part of the legend of the Entrin Fox and has contributed to a groundswell of anti-Aemark sentiment within Entrin. Some politicians suspect that Entrin will attempt to take more overt action and ally itself with Kaokut should the situation become openly hostile.
