Demon Realm

Created in the Fourth Century in response to Emperor Constantine legalizing Christianity. It was created by mages working in coordination with the other magical beings created into sections of land that worked with the element each being associated with. Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Magic the placement of the Kingdoms indicated how close to each element each kingdom was. An example being the placement of the Phoenix Kingdom, which is by the Salamander Kingdom and also bordering the Thunderbird Kingdom which is one of the first Air kingdoms. The Phoenix were associated with fire and also minorly with wind as they were birds.   The Vampire Kingdom located in the center of the Earth Kingdom brought the only humans kidnapped from their homes, brainwashed and bred being treated like cattle. In an attempt to protect the Mortal Realm from the predatory ways of the Vampires and the Demon Realm from discovery, the governing council of the Demon Realm forbade Mortals from entering the Demon Realm on pain of death for the mortal and the ones who brought the mortal through.   The only way to and from the Demon Realm are portals which were created as an escape route for those who remained in the Mortal Realm. The pathways through the portals are protected by ancient wise women who are both revered and feared and hunted by the Vampire King in order to gain full control of the Portals.
