Creatures of the earth, bulettes are the bane of any creature that live underground. Known as "land sharks" by many, they have the uncanny ability to sense potential prey from miles away just from vibrations. Natural armor protects them as they burrow at high speeds through rock, sand and dirt.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Never satisfied, bulettes are almost always on the hunt. With massive jaws and the ability to swallow most creatures whole, there are not many things that aren't on the menu. If you were to come across a dead bulette, it is almost always worthwhile to open its stomach for any wealth or items it may have consumed.

Domestication

Bulettes are ambivalent to most other creatures by nature. Due to their size, strength, and biological armor, they have limited natural predators and live only to feed. Humans, Dwarves, and Gnomes who spend time underground know that bulettes can be devastating to run into, but they can be "persuaded" to do things fueled by their hunger. Though domestication is something that isn't practical for such a beast, they can be tempted by placing bait in specific areas to manipulate the actions of the creatures.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Many bulettes are still found in the wild however in Goldport there are those who found a way to take advantage of these tunneling creatures. Since the country is ripe with gold veins, there is much to be gained from mining. It used to be a long and arduous process to dig into the earth. With the consistent threat of underground creatures, many miners found their end in search of great wealth. Though once considered an incredible nuisance, a few mining companies found ways to take advantage of the mindless digging of the bulettes to cut the process drastically.
