Triesia - Title

Triesia is not only the name of the people of the Tira-Isha desert but it is also name of their nation and their leader. Rooted in their language it originates from Tira, or chosen, and eshya, of the Goddess Isha shorthand for Nidlisha.
"To be called Triesia is an honor and a burden. Though the clans are independent and rule themselves they still someone inspire them and remind them why Triesia exists. The harshness of the desert gives us a goal to work for but it is not why we were united." - Triesia the Seer

Origin

The tradition of calling the leader Triesia originated from the story of Nidlisha seeing a gathering of lost peoples from many races. At the time the land that would become Triesia or the Tira-Isha was a vast plain and once gathered Nidlisha called them Triesia, her chosen and among them was Ekkario - Triesia the Founder. Ekkario was Nidlisha's son, a towering Giant who looked over the people of the desert.     It was Ekkario who convinced his mother that the world would be better when peoples mingled and not when they stood separately famously comparing societies with a single race to a field of crop that never changed, eventually the land would grow arid.
"Triesia is not a title give, not a title earned. It is a mission. When you prove yourself despite all odds and become Triesia you do not pick who you are. You lose who you are and you become what the people want you to be. As I live and breath I am Triesia they call me ultimate for my prowess, I am the will of the Desert sands. Who I was before will live in the shadow of who I am now." - Triesia the Ultimate

Description

The Nation, Leader, peoples, and land would have one name Triesia. This is symbolic of the role of Triesia, the Triesia is not different from the land they hold dominon over. They are not different from the people living there. They are not any different from the nation. They are the embodiment of the will, soul, and hope of the desert.   The title Triesia granted the person not only the political rulership over the many clans in the desert that call themselves Triesian but also the functions of being its Tira-Veed-A'arol, roughly translated to Warrior Chosen to Lead. It is a strictly non-hereditary role. This exemplifies the meritocratic culture prevalent in the desert, only those who work and worthy grow.   When the previous Triesia would be slain, or pass away, any individual may claim the title. Though there is an aspect of hierarchy in the clans as to who may stake a claim, this is mostly due to respect and understanding as even leading a clan would undergo its own trials tailored to the specific role of the clan. Should no clan head contest the individual then they shall be named Triesia but this is rare. If the claim is contested then there would be an open challenge where all claimants would fight for all of Triesia to see. It is not unheard of for some to be convinced to change their mind, this is not a sign of weakness but strength in negotiation, Triesia accepts all methods to win but the claim may be challenged again in the future should the people see the current Triesia as ineffective.   The laws of Triesia do not demand loyalty to the current Triesia but quite the opposite. Being Triesia would strip the individual of their past, some even going so far as modifying their memory to forget the past that may weight them down and exist solely as a vessel for Triesia's present. This has also been questioned as some would see their past as a resource to reflect on and as a source of wisdom. It is; however, not uncommon to shed their name permanently and remove themselves from their original clan once they become Triesia.

Notable Treisias

Ekkario - Triesia the Founder

Also referred to as Triesia the first, he is a legendary figure in Triesian society. The Demigod, the son of Nidlisha herself. A towering giant who oversaw the founding of the nation. Most notable of his achievements would be leading the people of Triesia to shelter as the God Wars raged. His insight and wisdom lessened the people's direct involvement in the battles sparing many lives but ultimately his retreat from a position lead to the battle of the Maelstrom where Dorimus slayed Huska an event which dried some of the seas and prevented storms from entering Tira-Isha turning the land into an arid desert. For his failure Ekkario sought redemption and stepped down as Triesia then disappeared into the desert.

Khe'ler Darin - Triesia the Builder

The second Triesia and founder of Clan Darin, she managed to tame the beasts of the desert. Recognizing that they as a people had to keep moving from oasis to oasis as to not deplete the resources in the area, Triesia the Builder began construction of a massive city that could be expanded and pulled across the sand by beasts of burden. She also taught the people how to tame and train the desert beasts from the extremely large Rhinos of the southern ridges, to the dune drakes. There is even her personal mount Kh'inn-hardo a giant wurm, the largest ever sighted, that she tamed after being lost in the sea of wurms for 2 weeks. She was thought to be dead but returned in time before the challengers determined a new Triesia. To this day the foundation of the city of Sun'Daar is built on the carapace of the worm.
