My Inspiration

Deicide is the tentative name for a video game I've been designing for the past five years. It offers a fusion of free-form, exploring game play and tight FPS and RPG mechanics. I hope to one day make Deicide a reality with your help!  

The Story

Above the calm cloud cover reigns the demigod king Mythus, a mysterious ruler whose omnidirectional gaze illuminates every corner of the known world.  The solitary Lev subsists on the fringes of Mythus’ great metropolis, reminiscing on his distant past; mother and father at his side, peering into the horizon at the lands which were forbidden to enter.  It has been nearly twenty two years since his parents suddenly abandoned him to join Mythus’ inner echelon.  Still heartbroken and unable to enter the inner city, Lev slowly wastes away on the same rocks where he carved his parents’ epitaph.  He then feels a cold wind brush against his face and turns to notice that Mythus’ divine sunlight has inexplicably dimmed.  He knows he has been given the opportunity to escape his miserly life.  Filled with a newfound vigor, Lev excitedly springs up and dashes into the tumultuous sea, soon devoured by its pounding torrent.     He awakes on a distant coastline.  Something in his soul tells him that he has escaped Mythus’ influence and entered a new land.  His spirit burns with a new curiosity to unearth its secrets, discover why his parents left him, and topple the fabricated world of the god who stole his childhood.
