Death Before Dishonor!    How to Play      Application to Death Before Dishonor

Players who wish to join Death Before Dishonor may do so quickly by following the directions on this page. First, email the referee at dbdboss at yahoo dot com to request a pregenerated character. Adding "DBD" to the subject line will ensure your email will be seen and responded to.

Please Note: Characters are linked to email accounts, so be sure which account you wish to use and be consistent. Orders or requests from an email address not linked to that character will be ignored.

You will be supplied with a number of pregenerated characters determined by your tier (see How to play Death Before Dishonor for tier information). Simply respond with your selection and an appropriate character name, accept the invitation to the full site, and you will begin the game as a newcomer to Paris during the next turn.

Please Note: Should your character request arrive during a period of turn adjudication, you are requested to be patient. All character generation requests will automatically be "bumped" in favor of the adjudication of the current turn. You will receive your character sheet early enough to participate in the following turn. Thank you for your understanding!

The following steps are recommended in the character creation process. Should you encounter difficulties or questions, please contact the referee.

1. Bookmark this site. All updates and publications related to DBD will be linked from here.
2. Important! You will need a World Anvil account, and (once set up) you will need a character. When you log in, you are at the Dashboard. Along the top (under the Welcome message) you will see "News, Your Campaigns, Your RPG Characters..." and so on. Create a profile for your character -- really, only the name is absolutely necessary -- and then you can join the game.
3. Post a character introduction on the discussion boards. The Pestilential Pothouse is for introductions and public in-character posts.
4. Consider fleshing out the page for your character. It's nice to stimulate roleplay, but wholly optional.
5. Join our Discord server for live chat, announcements, and game discussions
6. Familiarize yourself with the Campaign House Rules to help maintain a positive community, and
7. Welcome to Paris!
