Hecate
History
Hecate was said to walk into the world on a dark night, without stars or moon. As she walked, her footsteps illuminated the stars, and cast light into the darkness. Hecate is believed to shepherd the dead into the afterlife, though she does not rule over that afterlife herself. She is called on to control the undead, and protect against them, as well as protection for travelers She is usually depicted in statues as a triple bodied woman, facing out in different directions. The women's faces are all identical.
Worship & Priests
Hecate's priestess are devoted to cultivating arcane knowledge, offering aide to themselves and their immediate communities. Her priestess are often community healers or wise women. Seeking their aide comes at a price, rarely in coin, that may be paid immediately, or the goddess may choose to collect later. She and her deciples are very ok with necromancy.
