The Druidic Order discovers Sanabor Island and the healing powers of the Sanabor Tree.
Around seventeen hundred years ago, the Druidic Order discovered Sanabor Grove on an island in the mouth of the river Rhyn. Quickly they became aware of the strong magical powers of the Sanabor Tree in the middle of the grove and its capability for healing the sick. The Druids decided to found a permanent Circle on the island and turn it into a centre of healing. At that time, the fishing hamlet at the mouth of the river had started to be known at Rhynmouth. It was still small, but fairly prosperous. The Druids noted, that most of Rhynmouth's population were worshipping a sea creature named Marmuk, allegedly a giant sea serpent, prowling the waters along the coast. They had built a temple to it on the Southern side of the river. The founding of Sanabor Grove attracted quite a number of pilgrims and people, seeking healing, to the the area. Only a small number could be housed directly on the island, so guest houses and and shops sprang up on the banks of the river to shelter and provide for the patients and worshippers coming to visit the holy tree.
