Medical Reconstruction Nanites
Utility
Medical nanites can fix wounds, stitch lacerations, halt bleeding, rebuild organs, and even revive the recently deceased (once the body is repaired). They work faster in conjunction with regeneration tanks, where the nutrient bath the patient is immersed in contains the building blocks they need to rebuild most biological systems. Without a tank backup, the process can be completed, but will take much longer.
Manufacturing
Nano-assembly factories mass produce medical nanites at a rate typically measured in cc's per hour. A single dose for a typical patient would be approximately 5 cc's, 20 cc's for dragons. Nano-assemblers can create them from anything, because they literally tear apart molecules to put them back together as they need.
Access & Availability
While primarily made for use on military vessels, medical nanite technology is used widely across most Imperial worlds. A variant of the nanites has been found in the Federation, but the production location is unknown. They are used across every known species, except the Sergal, specifically the males.
Complexity
Nanites are semi-paradoxical. They are at the same time both the smallest tools in the medical toolbox, and the most complex. Individually, they aren't terribly complicated, but they network together to becomes smarter and capable of fixing a wider range of medical issues that they might come across in a patient.
