Minerva Dre

Minerva is a Hunter for the Winter Moon Pack, and the childhood best friend of Jack McClain. She was raised by her parents to believe that power is everything and if her mate was anything below a Warrior, she was to reject him and find someone of a higher rank to call her own. Throughout all her life, she has been in a rivalry with her sister, Sara Dre, for top tier mate rank. Minerva is also extremely racist toward vampires, believing them to be the reason werewolves are suffering.
"Jackie!" came a feminine voice.   Jack turned his head to the right and saw a short girl running straight at him. She spread her arms wide and threw them around his neck. She hoisted herself up as her legs attempted to wrap about his waist. Giggling gleefully, Minerva peppered kisses all over Jack's face which prompted him to laugh in return.

Mental

Personality

Not many people can say that they dislike Minerva, and it goes to show with her brilliant and charming nature. But in the care of her parents, Minvera learned to be disciplined and follow any order a higher rank gave her, so long as it helped her achieve her goal in the end. With each new order she received, she became more goal-oriented. She only shows her malicious side around lower ranks than her and out of the sight of the Alpha and his family. Minerva could not bear the thought of Jack hating her and pushing her away.   Around her tenth birthday, Minerva started showing traits of athleticism. She worked tirelessly to prove to obtain the rank of a Warrior, but she ended up with the Hunter rank instead on her 13th birthday. This rank brought about more of her insensitivity and malice toward others, while Jack tried to impress her with what Hunters could do. Minerva cannot stand having such a low rank and berates herself for being unable to make her parents happy.   To top off her traits, Minerva is insightful, methodical, and playful, but her worst nature is softened by behaviors of being elegant as well. Whenever a party is held at the Alpha Cabin, she is invited by Jack, where she has the opportunity to show everyone who good she can be with Jack if she's able to his mate.   As she grew up, Minvera found herself becoming jealous of Jack; she couldn't stand the thought of other girls being all over him, which drew her to become obsessive, greedy, and manipulative when it came to him. If there was even a chance that Jack wasn't into her, Minerva would attempt to change that around. She started wearing more revealing clothing as a way to draw Jack's attention to her. She also has a knack for being desperate and using her "puppy-eyes" to gain what she wants from him. As far as Minerva knows, Jack is as straight as a pencil.
"Minnie! It's great to see you," Jack said.   "You're home and that's all that matters." Releasing Jack, Minerva dropped to the ground and cupped his face. She pressed her nose against his and said, "Now that we're together again, we don't have to worry about vampires ruining all our fun."   "They can try to keep us down, but we're besties. Jack McClain is here to stay!" Jack hollered as he slung an arm over Minerva's shoulders. He was determined to be at her side with his mate on his other side.

Trauma

Minerva grew up wondering why she was usually singled out by Sara, who aseemed to have it all. Sara would get what she wanted, when she wanted. She had the perfect mate, Seán McClain, and the perfect pack status as a Warrior. As a result, Minerva was punished by their parents, who withheld her dinners when she couldn't outrank her sister, even just one time.

Motivation

Even though she was abused, Minerva saw what her parents were doing to her as a catalyst to get better. She was a Dre! Dres were never weak and never gave up. One screw up would mean starvation, so Minerva pushed herself. She didn't care what she did to her body so long as she got to beat her sister in the sibling competitions. Her future and family life depended on how persistant she was.

Children
Minerva was born to Isaac and Lavender Dre with a younger twin sister named Sara Dre. They both grew up to have twisted personalities thanks to their parents. Pressure from their parents to be perfect constantly followed them around, tormenting them with each step they would take. Every day was like a competition with Sara to see who had the best day, rank, job, and friends. Anything less than subpar would result in them not getting dinner.   Minerva kept this part of her life a secret from her childhood best friend, Jack, who she met at the age of five. The two of them were inseparable and usually their mom's would have to drag them apart. Jack was one to get Minerva into trouble as well since his inner wolf liked mischief so much. At ten years old, Minerva started to look at Jack in a new light since her hormones began to change. She focused on him and him alone, regardless of what Jack wanted to do. Minerva's crush on Jack grew to the point that she became jealous of the girls that Jack would sometimes hang around. Those girls were her enemies and any girl who came within ten feet of Jack caused Minerva to become possessive, afraid that Jack would leave her.   After Jack was captured by the Itude Empire, Minerva fell into a pit of despair. She could not believe that her crush was gone and probably dead. For nearly the entire month of Sihm, Minerva sulked and became distressed whenever she would see mate couples walking around. It wasn't until the beginning of Totosius that Minerva met her mate, Aluxious. The instant she found out about him visiting from the Silver Forest Region and that he was an Omega, Minerva scrunched up her nose and him walked off. She sulked further as her mate was of such a low rank, even if he was cute.   She followed the only advise she could receive when she went to talk to Ember McClain. Minerva lured Aluxious out to the Howling Woods, near a cave, where she rejected him due to his rank. Having an Omega mate was the last straw for Minerva. She could not believe that her future was nearly in ruins thanks to Bavara, the Moon giving her the wrong mate. Even her parents were disappointed in her and claimed that she failed as their daughter with Aluxious. So, Minerva made a vow to prove them wrong and set up a plan to get Aluxious killed.   Inside the cave was a group of rogues looking to torture someone, and Minerva had every intention of letting them have their way so long as they left the Winter Plains territory after they had their fun with Aluxious. The rogues agreed and tortured Aluxious until he died and Minerva played it off that rogues attacked them when a patroling party came by after the rogues left. She used her plight to move into the Alpha Cabin as she received "therapy" for what happened. Yet, Minerva was unmoved by Aluxious' death. She merely made a plan to prove her family wrong and that she had what it took to become the Luna of the pack as she never gave up hope that Jack would return home someday.
