Darkness Between Stars

Darkness Between Stars is a rule-light sci-fi game where the goal is simple: do your job, stay alive another day, and if you're lucky - make a profit.   The year is 2183 AD.   Earth is threatened by global climate change. Mega-Cities cover huge regions and beyond the walls much of the world is a wasteland inhabited by raiders, scavengers, and mutants. Resources such as clean water and fresh air are scarce, provided mostly by unethical global corporations interested only in profit.   To find more resources, Humanity explores space and travels to distant planets. The void is unforgiving and deadly. Planets are harsh and inhospitable, often inhabited by dangerous and deadly alien species.   Technology on Earth can be incredible if you can afford it; cybernetics and androids are fairly commonplace but so are crime and violence. On the interstellar frontier, technology is typically analogue and clunky so that it can be repaired easily by any working stiff with a screwdriver and a wrench (and it saves the corporation money).   Board your ship.
