The Old World is no more. The ancient races, powerful civilizations that once ruled over the known galaxy, have faded into dust, leaving behind their towering ruins, miraculous technologies, and countless secrets still waiting to be unearthed.   In their absence, new nations have risen from the bosom of their homeworlds, poised to stake their claim on the galaxy. Many seek to claim the treasures of the Old World for themselves, and are willing to fight and die to ensure that they alone hold its power.   Among these nations are the great powers, the largest and most influential nations in the modern galaxy, whose unmatched armies and near-limitless resources command the respect of the lesser countries. These include the zealous Empire of Galdera, the isolationist Valdar, the altruistic Teruzar, the contentious Confederation of Derahs, and the fascists Kalrian Empire. Conflict is common among the superpowers, not only over the remains of the Old World, but also over their vastly different ideologies and for influence and control over their weaker neighbors.   But for all of the study the new world has performed on the old, so little is known. Who really were the ancient races? How did they become so prominent, and what caused their collapse? Can the new world learn of their mistakes and adapt, or will they be consumed by their own greed and strife?
