Basic Information

Anatomy

Women´s are heavier, bulkier and stronger than normal Vaseline human. Their bodies are full of testosterone to assure this.

Mumbleres had sloping, almost ridge-like foreheads. Several Mumbleres had been seen with pointed ears, while just as many had been seen without them. These could have been ritual mutilations, or a genetic variation; there is no conclusive evidence as to what the species' norm is. Mumbleres also had short, stub-like noses, making their faces appear skull-like. The Mumbleres usually had black hair, though in lesser amounts on both the head and body than Humans, but often wore it much longer than them (in many cases, they were also completely bald). Small blue sacks could be found under the eyes of the Mumbleres, and they were often considered a mark of beauty. These eyesacks expanded and contracted to reflect a Mumblere´s mood, as the species did not use the facial expressions preferred by Humans. Through the blue sacks under their eyes, they were capable of telling if an individual was in delight or were suffering from rage. The most common skin tone among the Mumbleres was gray, with the second most common being grey. Another major characteristic was their jet black blood.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Queen of each colony is the only one who can reproduce. She only needs her harem of 20 males to reproduce, having a gestation period of 70 days and having a minimum of eight children with one single genetic donor. The minimum recorded is the established eight, but the maximum recorded is at least thirty pups. In times of war, or distress for the colony, the queen can accept other breeding mothers to replenish the manpower lost, where she starts to secrete highly aphrodisiac pheromones to start the menstruation in other females, and so their breeding capabilities. Such times could be very dangerous for a colony, because if for pheromones are lost in the air of the colony more breeding mothers could develop and so many brood mothers could start having their own colony, leading to a social revolt.

They are found naturally in two places:

The Undersea, the great caverns inside mountains and hidden seas under the earth´s crust, and below deserts and other hot climates, were below ground is the only place to escape the scorching heat.

Biological Cycle

Being a matriarchal society, the women´s have the most developed bodies, reaching maturity both mentally and physically before males.

Their bodies start to develop breast at the age of 12, smooth pale skins, round hips, and so on and so on, being neutrally attractive to more species than only their own, almost like an evolutionary response to under population, while others call it part of a latent mental psychosis, in which females send pheromones and other sublet psychic messages to lure men to her cause, like mermaids or something worse.

In any case, the Queen of each burrow when the children are still babies, feed them with specially prepared feces because they can’t chew normal food. And meanwhile she sends more pheromones to alter the bodies of the females, leaving them with almost no sexual dimorphism than males to weed out the competition. Using said pheromones she leaves them completely unable to start sexual maturation, greatly increasing their testosterone build up and lowering the estrogen count. And so, she leaves all other females resembling the original mole rat from which they developed millions of years ago, taller and bulkier than any male, with a great violence inside them. Being perfect soldiers, drone workers, and so on.

Gender Ideals

In their society, the woman is the most important citizen of all. The only who has the right to own property, fight in armies, reproduce and have consent. Men do not have those rights, and are not even part of most laws protecting citizens, and so they can only have menial jobs, like fishers, butchers, undertakers, cleaners of feces, and so on.

 

They always follow the codes of their religion, the Bride of Blood, in regards to gender laws.

From a purely chemical point of view, gender dysphoria is rampant and widely accepted in Mumblere society, with trans woman (that is, genetically woman but having any gender identity they want) are considered full citizens with no other difference from other. But, in a society where males are slaves, trans man (that is, genetically male but having woman identity) are considered as second class citizens, having some inheritance laws, but only being the last resort for it, and having access to more high tier jobs than full males.

Most trans woman that mimic the delicacy of males tend to have jobs abroad, as emissaries in foreign countries or working close to other cultures.

Relationship Ideals

Only the queen can have children, having a harem of twenty males to have a wide variety of genetic material in the breeding stock of the colony. During times of war a council of brood mothers is made to make room for more children, but sometimes this leads to social unrest.

And when a colony reaches a sufficient depth policies are made for securing the increase expansion of the burrow, when only one mother giving birth 30 times every 3 months can’t keep up with the needs and growth of other industrial cities. And so, the One Child Policies are made, assuring every woman of the female gender (excluding Trans Mumbleres from having children) that they can only bear one children for the colony. In the most under crowded colonies these are altered to make “two child policies”.

Average Technological Level

Their current culture shuns metal work and other crafts, having absorbed the bio technology of the Maze Makers and the Seleusami, a race of men scorpions and intelligent spiders respectively. And so, after their cultural revolution they started to use bio technology, growing their pieces of technology and machinery, using natural tools for their construction.

For example, the warrior caste uses carapaces of giant crabs as combat armor, swordfish’s heads as lances, eels as electrical whips, giant mosquitos as falconry, and so on. They sometimes use the heads of sawfishes as swords, or snakes as hidden weapons.

They use whales with specially grow attachments as war galleys, and giant turtles as merchant ships, sometimes they only use the turtle shell and using normal rows.

They also grow genetic engineered species for special uses, combining the brain of a giant Koi Fish and a Giant Frog Fish they can tap into the latent psychic capabilities of the two fishes, combining them into a single brain that has a great deal of psychic energies, capable of reading the minds of others, learning secrets hidden inside the mind, coping feelings and information.

They even put this into use, controlling mass herds of animals and using them as a natural fighting force, or for fishing or herding. They can sometimes use it as a weapon to cause psychic storms, inflicting pain into the targets. But the most usual work for this super intelligent brains is to be war coordinators, relaying information in the battlefield to the mind of the commanders in charge.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Their culture is completely devoted to the Bride of Blood, their goddess that cut out her own womb and gave birth to the entire world in a frenzy of blood and gore.

Theirs is a culture of hard labor and work, with a religious zeal for it. A matriarchal society with their queen as the head of their religion and mother of all workers in the burrow, having no power over other affairs because she is always busy giving birth and proceeding over religious ceremonies.

And so, in reality the Mumblere society is leaded by an oligarchic council of the regional ruler of each part of the burrows, and in cases of a fully fledge queendom, the appointed emissary of each one burrows particular ruling council. Of course, the queen being the head of the state religion is part of this council, but doesn’t have any more particular power than other members of it.

Their high culture has labor and hard work as almost their second religion, and so they follow their caste system to the letter, having one job and only one job from birth, working 16 hours a shift for the state and participating in the meritocratic system of reward and punishment, with each particular job having its own caste according to its importance to the colony.

And so, sometimes a colony can have a caste system dedicated for miners, hunters, builders, and so on. With the individual that was borne in the right moment and having the necessary skills being the head of the caste, sometimes an inherited place in an already well established colony. A mixture of inheritance and meritocracy, with another family outreaching and taking the place of other well established family in the caste system.

There is no private constructions in the burrows, all is owned by the state, with five years plans that are meant to expand it with a plan in mind, avoiding chaotic constructions that could disrupt the flow of the colony. And so, each caste has its own place inside the colony, a district of its own.

The local governor of each district is also the head of the caste, or its family if there are too many of them, and so being the local governor is a mix of political and social job, because it means that you are, for example, the Grand Admiral of the Navy if you are the local governor of the Navy Caste, the War Arbiter of the Warriors caste, or the Great Foreman/woman of the Builders Caste.

The only caste that is not up for debate is the Priest Caste, the queen is always its head, and her first daughter is the inheritor of the place. Her sisters are the lesser priest, and the brides of blood. The league of over one hundred queens that is the Mumblere Under Empire has one queen to rule them all, sometimes called “Supreme Overlord of Blood”.

History

The origins of the Mumblere are shrouded in mystery, but some historians, mostly their own agree on some truths besides the legends.

Long ago, during the reign of a Minotaur Great King whose name is lost in time, a series of invaders from the near moon launched their biotic ships against the world, in an event called “Voder An Karr”, which meant “the falling of the moon” in minoic. These invaders from the moon were caught in telescopes, spied on for months after getting caught using portals to move from place to place in the moon, and fighting with the other species there, like the Seleusami or the Maze Makers, a race of arachnids and scorpion people respectably.

Finally, after exterminating colonies of the Maze Makers they used their resources to launch themselves in portals against the planet to call upon hundreds and hundreds of warriors in an attempt to colonize the planet and repopulate it while fleeing from their star system which had a star collapsing thanks to an unknown galactic war.

This strange race was called “Nosferati”, and consisted of a tall humanoid race of half vampire half goat men, with a length of 2.5 meters tall with no hair at all, small horns, claws and hooves. They had no digestive system, they only eat the souls of the fallen, and practiced dark magic’s and had powerful psychic powers. That’s why their warriors were very difficult to kill, but having an aversion for the sun, eventually the invasion force was wipe out.

Finally, they attacked a second time, this time needing help because the son of the last minoic king built a fortress in the same place were the Dark Portal was erected for the first time. The city of warriors was called “Koruska Vode An”, “The Moon Singer´s Fortress”.

Almost a million of Nosferati passed through the portal, slaughtering minotaur’s and raising them as ghouls, destroying the fortress after a one week battle inside it, a battle fought in the streets, inside the houses, and in the alleys.

Finally, the Second Dark Portal was destroyed by the Hands of the Moon, the personal guard of magicians of King Waldenstark the Fifth. And after that almost 200 Nosferati escaped into the wild, being persecuted as almost a plague by the minoic forces. The Nosferati were long lived like the Minotaur’s, almost 500 years for them to reach old age, and so they were a lot of time persecuting them.

During their time as fugitives, a small court of twenty Nosferati found a primitive species of humanoid rats living underground in burrows, and so they set themselves to build upon them to finally have a standing army, build another portal and finally conquer the world.

Using their telepathic powers they started to mingle with the minds of the primitive race of naked rats, whom they didn’t even had a language of their own, being most an animal with legs and thumbs more than anything. The telepathic powers of the Nosferati upgraded the minds of the naked mole rats, using psychometry to teach them everything that they knew, evolving their minds beyond what they could have reach on their own. Putting in their minds a sense of gratitude beyond natural terms, having after 250 years the perfect slave race.

After some time the Nosferati started to lose interest in reopening the Dark Portal, and started to mingle with the race of naked mole rats, starting to create a hybrid species and originating the Mumblere, a mix of naked mole rat and vampire from other planet.

After another 250 years, the Mumblere started to be the majority in the Mole Rat Citys, starting a eugenic revolution across all Mole Cities to replace the Mole Rats with the Mumblere, and starting a war after the last Nosferati was killed in an attack from other moles. The wars were called “The Brood Wars”, and ended with the complete genocide of the mole rats, and the supremacy of the Mumblere inside all Mole Towns and Cities.

After that, independent Queendoms started to emerge when the population of Mumbleres started to sky rocket, and they went into a cultural revolution after the Second Brood War, when they invaded the lands Eden To The East, the land were the Maze Makers and the Seleusami lived as colonist after going to the moon.

They killed and stealed their biotechnology and added to their own, spreading their ideals and religion to all burrows and queendoms. Unifying after 1000 years as a single culture and race.
