Imperatrix

The divine autocratic matriarch of the Solarian Empire, the imperatrix is a living goddess who commands absolute authority but rarely exercises it. Her purpose is to maintain prosperity amd harmony in the empire and protect her citizens.

Appointment

The imperatrix is chosen from among the offsping of the previous imperatrix, or her extended family if she produced no suitable heir. She need not be the eldest daughter, and the choice is ultimately up to the Solarian Senate.
Upon selection, the heir is confirmed by the Astrianic Ecclesiastic Council, and annointed by the Astrianic Church upon ascent to the throne. This ensures that the Solarian Empire always maintains good relations with the church.

Duties

The imperatrix primarily serves as the chief embassador and treats with foreign heads of state. She also serves as chief judge in disputes between the three branches of government.

Responsibilities

The imperatrix is ultimately responsible for the welfare of the empire amd ots citizens. She is charhed with maintaining prosperity and harmony while defending her people from all threats domestic amd foreign.
