The Forest

A very large forest located in the state of Georgia, it is about 5 miles away from BellStone Asylum and 12 miles away from the town of Madison. The forest is known for how easy it is to get lost in and it is commonly discouraged by locals to ever go too deep within, only following the paths near the entrance where people can walk their dogs. This small area is the only place that many people frequent, it is located right at the entrance of the forest near the town and it is only a very small part of the ever so expansive forest.
The forest is 3,500 square miles in size, there are little to no landmarks within the forest which makes it exceedingly difficult to navigate. There are only two landmarks which lie deep within the forest. There has been an attempt to try and build a lumber yard within the forest, it was set-up by 'Perkins Timber and Co.' and aimed to chop down trees within the middle of the forest as they believed that there was plenty of supply. However, the structure was quickly abandoned during construction when the workers were unable to find their way back out of the forest and had to be rescued via a helicopter. No one has returned to the structure, no progress was made in chopping down any trees except for the ones used by workers to make the lumber yard.
The other very obvious landmark is a hydroelectric power station owned by Samson Electricals built on top of a waterfall,
Several people have been reported to have gone missing within the forest, usually being last sighted around it or near it's parameters by nearby witnesses. There have been hikers who have ventured in to the forest only to never come back out, runaway teens who had no where to go and ran into the forest. Search parties were never sent out as many believed it was too much of a risk to venture out into the forest, even in a group. One of the forest victims was a man named Dr. Eugene Halford, a tropical wildlife expert, veterinarian, and backpack explorer. He arrived at Madison with two Komodo Dragons that he obtained from his trip to Komodo Island, he initially wanted to show them off in an attraction for kids before returning them home however, someone was after him as he had broken the law in taking the Komodo Dragons from their natural habitat and taking them in his care. He didn't believe that the Komodo Dragons would be safe if they were taken away from him so he ran into the forest with the two dragons and it is not know what he did since or where he is. What is known however, is that the forest now has a decent population of Komodo Dragons.
