Imperial Palace

The grand seat of power for the Tillian Empire, highly protected behind high stone walls and iron bars at the very center of Tillia.

Purpose / Function

Serves as the home for the Emperor, his mistresses, heirs and staff as well as a meeting place for imperial council.

Alterations

Vastly expanded when it officially became the seat of power for the first Emperor of Tillia.

Architecture

Limestone outer walls and wrought iron spiked fencing reaching eighty feet in height. Aqueducts bring fresh water into the palace to provide the earliest forms of indoor plumbing. Main structure of the palace is four stories high, made from marble and limestone with stain glass windows and includes throne room, Council meeting room, kitchen, courtyard. Each side of the main palace has a massive dining hall to host banquets and balls for the noble men/women of Tillia. Palace also features four towers, two on the east and west wings. They serve as holding cells, dragoon barracks and mess halls, adviser's quarters, sparring room.

History

Originated as a small keep, one forth its final size that served as the seat of power for the royal family that ruled the city of Tillia during the reign or monarchs prior to the Murren Wars.
