Shuma

Shuma is an old winged manticore who lives in the Zesctnock Forest. He is good friends with Siebold Morningstar, Magnolia Hilderbrand, and Earnest Abbott. Shuma has been around the world and has extensive knowledge on numerous topics, including magic. Even though Shuma is incapable of using magic, he is able to teach Siebold and Magnolia how to wield magic. Shuma has lived well past the expected lifespan of the average manticore and he knows his days are numbered. Shuma deeply cares for his human companions and treats Siebold and Magnolia as his own children as Shuma has been with them as Siebold and Magnolia have grown up.

Shuma is physically weak due to his old age. Shuma also is a lot skinnier than most manticores.

Personal history

Shuma has always lived in seclusion in Zesctnock Forest. After his first ten years of life, he decided to fly out around the world and explore. During his travels he met Earnest Abbott. After an intial apprehensive meeting, the two became close and became inseparable. After 15 years of traveling, both Shuma and Earnest head back to Zesctnock Forest. Two years later, Shuma finds a little boy under the Yggdrasil. As a manticore, he was unable to raise the child himself so he told Earnest and had him raise the child. That child was Siebold and Shuma treated him as his child. Shuma taught Siebold how to wield magic. As the years went on, Shuma met Magnolia through Siebold.
Twenty years later, Shuma has grown old and weak and Siebold and Magnolia have taken on the responsibility of taking care of Shuma. Shuma truly appreciates what Siebold and Magnolia have done for him and he will do anything to protect them.

Intellectual Characteristics

Shuma is very wise due to his travels around the world. He is very kind and generous. He is also incredibly protective over those he cares about.
