Drakala, the Queen of Beasts

"Only a fool fears not the wild places, for the Queen of Beasts is ever watchful. Step softly in her domain, lest you learn what it is to be prey."
— a passage carved on the altar in Drakala's temple in Araniae

The goddess of all creatures, she is the Sixth Dream of Malorel and a member of the Circle of Ímlæs. She governs the twelfth month of the year, Feros, when the wolf moon is dominant.

Most commonly referred to as the Queen of Beasts, Drakala is also called the Feral Lady or the Wild One and bears the appearance of a tall, bestial woman with golden wings, equine legs, a dragon's tail, and other animalistic features. Her sacred people are the Bandaloki , and she often tasks dragons with protecting her domain. All animals are sacred to her, and those that harm her creations without cause will suffer her wrath.

Drakala's most common followers are those who regularly deal with feral creatures, such as hunters, shepherds, and others who travel through wild places. Elves also have strong reverence for her. Though they are creations of Florian, they regard themselves as the caretakers of all aspects of nature, not just that belonging to the Green Lord.

Tenets

While Drakala generally cares little for sentient mortals, she demands respect for her creations and domain. All mortals are urge to maintain the balance between predator and prey. Those that harm or kill her creations without cause or enter her sacred places without invitation are quick to suffer her disfavor, while those who honor her or act selflessly in defense of her creations might gain her blessings.

Holy Books & Artifacts

Drakala has no holy books or artifacts, though it is rumored that there is a sacred plant called the Tongue of the Wild that grants those who consume it the ability to speak to and control Drakala's creations.

Holidays & Festivals

Humans have no festivals specifically devoted to Drakala, but the elves include her in their Festival of the Wild, which is held every five years and celebrates the gifts of nature.
