Dragon War

A brief but ferocious "war" between dragons and the humans of Etherea in response to the merciless murder of countless dragons and theft of their eggs by human hunters. Many human villages on the Evrani Plain were burnt to the ground, and Araniae was almost completely destroyed. The war was ended through the intervention of elves and nelfyn, and a truce was made between dragons and humans in which both parties agreed to make it a capital offense to kill a member of either species. The Dragon Prince offered one of his last eggs to the human princess so that she could Bond with the hatchling, and from then on, all queens and princesses of Etherea have been Bonded to a dragon companion.
