Tear of Kozah
Bond: This blue crystal holds a lot of power for those willing to unlock it. To bind yourself to the stone, you must sacrifice your blood to it. Once you begin bleeding onto the stone, your blood will soak in and the stone will draw out 1d100% of your blood. When it is done, you must make a system shock roll with a negative equal to the amount of blood you lost. Failure will result in death but success will bind you to the stone.
Versatility: The stone has five main forms: Sorcerer’s Stone, Band of Protection, Aegis, Gauntlet, and Helm of Babel.
Sorcerer’s Stone
This is the Tear of Kozah’s default form. It looks like a jagged, faceted stone. While held, you can turn undead as a priest of the same level and cast Magic Missile, once a day for every 3 levels, as a wizard of the same level. For every maxed out d4, a d6 is added, and for every maxed out d6, a d8 is added. You can also Dispel Magic and Detect Magic as a wizard of the same level up to once a day per four levels each. If the wielder can cast spells, the number of spells available to them is doubled.Band of Protection
In this form, the stone appears as a faceted, blue, crystal bracelet. This is the most common form as it is easily carried while worn. The band gives 10% magic resistance as well as decreasing the die roll required to land a critical hit by 1 for every 4 levels of the wearer. Armor class and saves are improved by 1 for every 5 levels.Aegis
In this form, the stone takes the shape of a shield and gives the wearer a bonus of 6 to armor class. If used to block all incoming attacks (full defensive), it will do just that. Any attacks coming from the other side of the shield will be blocked entirely. This does not include magical attacks against the wielder that do not travel across space, nor does it include gas attacks that would expand around the shield.Gauntlet
In its gauntlet form, the stone increases the wearer’s strength in that arm by 5. The wearer is also capable of marking a creature. By touching a creature, a spectral target will appear wherever touched. Only one mark can exist at a time. If an attack lands on the mark, damage for that attack is doubled. Marks disappear after a full round has passed.Helm of Babel
In this form, the stone appears as a helmet and allows the wearer to see in infrared. If the wearer is blind, they will be gifted infrared sight while wearing the helmet. The wearer can also breathe under any conditions and can speak any language heard while wearing the helmet. The helmet will save all languages it hears while worn, so the wearer can put the helmet on at a later time and speak any languages it has saved. The wearer also receives a bonus of 3 to armor class.
