Shrine of Zeichros
A simple building built into the hills around Ithlum. The Shrine consists of a small hall for services, a large library like space, and living quarters for the priest as well as a few acolytes. It is the one of very few known shrines dedicated to the God of Time. While simple, it has a very somber appeal made with some kind of white stone that looks to have survived the ages, relatively untouched.
Purpose / Function
The Shrine is used for worship of the God of Time, Zeichros. Few really worship him, but more see him as an observer and protector of time. As a Priest or Acolyte of the God of Time, it is their responsibility to chronicle the passages of time around them and store them in the library the Shrine holds. If one were to question the passing of time in the local area, this is the most reasonable place to check, although each chooses their own topic in which to chronicle.
Denizens
Currently, the shrine houses the Priest Luibri Tolelf (Human), acolyte scribe Othelen Wiseethal (Half-elf), and brother Azrim Flamehammer (Dwarf).
Alterations
While numerous depictions or symbols of Zeichros already exists within the Shrine, others have been added and numerous updates have been made to accommodate a slightly larger library and extended living areas.
Architecture
The building is fully made with an odd white colored stone. It always seems lightly visible in the night, due to its coloring. It has also weathered the ages with little to no real damage, although it still looks dated and worn.
History
No one is quite certain the history surrounding the location before a certain point, but long before Ithlum was founded, an exploratory team of Diggers became lost in the new lands. The found shelter on the island from harrowing storms raging across the area. While searching for some form of shelter, the party discovered the Shrine and sought refuge within. It was dirty and cluttered, but it kept them safe. For several days the storm raged on, tearing across the island. Uprooting trees, blasting dirt and stone, and almost flooding the Shrine. But somehow they all prevailed and were found a few days later by a team sent out to find them. Seeing this as a sign, the party gave thanks to the great God of Time, and vowed to see it's halls put back into service. Later, with the founding of Ithlum in full swing, the members of the original party covered the costs of cleaning, repairs, and furnishing themselves.
A priest of Zeichros who had been traveling for many years prior approached the Diggers guild shortly before the first envoy of common folk left for Ithlum, insisting they had been given a vision of his destiny on the island heading the Shrine. And thus, seeing it as a sign, Luibri Tolelf became the shrines Priest.
