Quarrel, The Mountain Outpost
Far out into the new lands, an outpost was devised and constructed. On an island, not far from Ithlum, there was a mountain with three peaks of varying heights. On the middle of the three, Quarrel was built. For the intent of a forward base of sorts, walls were built as well as a suitable landing space for small airships. Most of the people who relocated to the outpost were former military or local guard, seeking similar work in the new lands protecting others. Others were hunters and fishers, those best suited to lands that were not as forgiving as others. Through rough times with unknown creatures, plants, and even offset seasons, it prevailed.
Demographics
The majority of the population are human or elf, but there are a smattering of all common races.
Government
The outpost doesn't have an official governing body. It has a leader that relays back to Ithlum for advice and support when necessary, keeping its people safe.
Defences
The outpost has a small militia that keeps the walls safe and danger at bay. They utilize the towers to keep watch and provide early warning for its citizens. Each tower is equipped with a warning bell to toll to prepare those outside of, and within, from possible attack.
Industry & Trade
Most trade comes from a few crops that grow better in the mountain side or from the few mined ores around.
Infrastructure
There is a wall lining the entirety of the peak, with four guard towers at each corner. There is a tavern, blacksmith, clothier, general store, and small market for local goods sales. Outlying farms are spread around the mountainside on flatter spaces that are also less tree covered.
Assets
Beyond basic goods needed for day to day survival, the general goods store and blacksmith do their best to provide basics to hunters and Diggers seeking to restock in the area.
History
The outpost is only a few years old, so it does not have a very eventful history yet.
Architecture
Most buildings are made of wood, due to the dense woods on the mountain island.
Geography
The mountain outpost sits on the middle of three peaks. The mountain itself covers the entirety of the island, which is of reasonably good size.
Natural Resources
Wood, simple ores, and clay are the only major natural resources.
