Scorched Lands
Found in one corner of Dal'Tempor the Scorched Lands are a place of thermal activity and a harsh environment where very few plants and animals are capable of surviving.
Geography
For the most part the scorched lands is wide open plains dotted by the occasional hill and tree that has no leaves. However as you go deeper the land changes to more mountainous terrain dotted by sharp craggy peaks
Localized Phenomena
The weather of the Scorched Lands is for the most part dominated by hot temperatures and a constant overcast preventing a large amount of sunlight from coming through. In colder months the temperature drops to a mild heat and the clouds tend to thicken and less sunlight passes though. Some parts do experience mild ash rains but those are rare and even then it is not unheard of them to last for only a short while
Fauna & Flora
Most of the animals in the Scorched Lands are the kind that have adapted to a harsh environment where it is almost desert like in terms of heat and lack of strong plant life. One of the most iconic of these animals is the Firesilk worm whose silk is send to be unique in its resistance to fire. Some plants do grow and while rare a small amount of herbivores do live in the hostile lands and some animals are omnivorous in diet. Plants often adapt to the harsh environment by building up a tolerance to high temptuures like the local trees which are highly resistant to fire.
Natural Resources
The big resources are Scorchwood trees for there resistance to fire and Blackened Iron and metal known for being very good at storing heat.
For crops most of the plants are designed to live in volcanic soil and can grow with less sunlight compared to other crops like wheat
